How Do Donations Work?
Any one of our eight churches would be delighted to receive any gift you may choose to offer towards its life, mission and maintenance. Most of our churches have each set up their own giving account accessed via the Church of England's Parish Giving website. Where this is not the case you could contact their relevant warden/treasurer to organise your gift. Also, as we are legally one Parish of eight churches - and so share some activities and resources across the lives and mission of all our churches - giving can also be offered at a Parish level to our central Parish of Wigmore Abbey PCC bank account via the C of E Parish Giving Scheme link.
Why Donate?
Your donations, whether given centrally to the Parish, or to an individual church - to which you perhaps have a pastoral connection - helps resource the ongoing ministry of our churches. This is because your donations help to resource our 'Parish Offer' (please click this link for further details:https://www.hereford.anglican.org/parish-support/finance/parish-offer/ ) - the annual sum the churches of our Parish gift to the Diocese of Hereford which is used to contribute to the financial resources needed to sustain the work of current and future local ordained priests, deacons and lay ministers (e,g, Readers, Local Worship Leaders etc) through resourcing their employment, initial and ongoing training, as well as contributing towards the costs of the wider mission of the Diocese of Hereford. The strategy of the Diocese of Hereford offers insights to the priority areas of its mission (click here for further details: https://www.hereford.anglican.org/about-us/our-vision/ ). The life and mission of each local church - including all the churches of our own multi-church Parish - plays a vital part in the implementation of this strategy.
We are also in the process of developing our own Parish Vision. Please see here for further details:

Within our Parish, your donations will also help our churches with the upkeep of their church buildings, heating up the buildings in winter, keeping them clean, and used to provide needed supplies. Our parish consists of many old church building which cost a lot of money to upkeep and preserve their uniqueness and beauty.
An example of church works supported by recent donations and fundraising have helped with making a new clock mechanism for the main outside clock located in Leintwardine at St. Mary Magdalene.
