How It Works
Both St Barnabas Church, Brampton Bryan and St Mary Magdalene, Leintwardine host collection points for the types of tinned and packeted food requested by our local Food Banks - including at Craven Arms and Leominster. Such food items can be dropped-off inside either of these two churches (e.g. both Leintwardine and Brampton Bryan Churches are open every day during daylight hours). Volunteers wait for the boxes to fill up and then deliver the food to a local Food Bank.
IMPORTANT: To ensure the food types you donate are in line with the tinned and packeted food types, requested by our local Food Banks, please check such details on our local Food Banks’ own websites:

The Parish of Wigmore Abbey collects tins and packets of food for the local Foodbank (Leominster). In addition to 'Food' we collect other essential items such as toiletries, nappies are also required.
Cash donations may be made directly to the foodbank and that is used for the purchase of perishables such as milk. check out the Herefordshire foodbanks for more details.
